UK Expeditions & Adventure Training programmes

The UK boasts some of the most scenic and challenging landscapes in the world! We use these beautiful yet often wild, and remote environments to lend a heightened sense of adventure, excitement and variety to our expeditions, adventure training programmes and activities.

Outposts’ expeditions will be challenging and action-packed; they will fire people's imagination, ignite their sense of adventure and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone! We will design and deliver tailor-made expeditions and adventure training programmes to your group's specific requirements and objectives and to the highest standards of quality & safety.

UK locations include, but are not limited to:

  • Scotland: Scottish Highlands & West Coast:
  • Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Coasteering (or ‘loch-steering’), Bouldering & Rock Scrambling, Gorge Walking, Canyoning, Mountain and Trail Biking, Kayaking, Orienteering, Hiking, Fishing, Survival Instruction and unrivalled wildlife including deer, golden eagles, ospreys, otters, seals.

  • Brecon Beacons, South Wales:
  • Gorge Walking (or scrambling); Canyoning; Mountain and Trail Biking, Lake-Kayaking or Canoe 'Journey' on the River Wye; Caving, Rock Climbing, Pen-y-Fan Mountain Walk. Orienteering, Night Navigation, Mountain Walks & Hikes.

  • Devon Coast/Exmoor & Dartmoor:
  • Surfing, Rock Climbing, Caving, Coasteering, Kayaking. Orienteering, Night Navigation, Coastal & Hill Walks & Hikes, Trail and Mountain Biking.

  • Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire & Herefordshire:
  • Caving, Climbing, Trail Biking, Lake-Kayaking; Canadian Canoe River Journey; Orienteering, Night Navigation, Hill Walking & Hikes.

  • The Gower Peninsula & Pembrokeshire, Wales:
  • Surfing, Coasteering, Kayaking, Dry Coasteering and Sea Cave Exploration, Trail Biking. Orienteering, Night Navigation, Coastal & Hill Walks & Hikes.

  • Somerset: Rock Climbing, Caving, Mountain Biking, Canoe 'Journey'; Raft-building; Mountain Boarding. Orienteering, Night Navigation, Hill Walks & Hikes.
  • Your final itinerary and activities will depend on a variety of factors including size of group/teams; time of year; aims & objectives, budget & your group's appetite for adventure! Team tasks & challenges can be included in your expedition or programme, in place of, or in addition to adventure activities.

    Our training & development programmes are designed, using the natural environment, to be a unique and effective blend of adventure activities, tasks and challenges which have been carefully and appropriately designed to bring about a positive and sustained change in individual and team behavior & performance.

    We are endorsed by the ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management.) In addition to our own programmes we provide support to other ILM training providers in the delivery of all, or part, of their ILM-accredited training programmes.
