On 6th April, Outposts Ltd hosted Prince Harry visiting the Cadets who are to travel to South Africa & Lesotho this summer.
2010 is the 150th Year of the Cadet Movement and Cadet 150 is the national celebration. The expedition is the highlight of the year. Outposts Ltd has been involved with the planning of the expedition since 2008 and is responsible for the all of the operations including the Selection that took place on the Quantocks in July 2009 and the training that Prince Harry visited this week.
In July 60 cadets, from all three services, will be travel to South Africa to conduct acclimatisation training and participate in an environmental awareness course before deploying to Lesotho to support
Sentebale, Prince Harrys and Prince Seeiso of Lesothos charity. The cadets will be working for 10 days in harsh and testing conditions assisting 4 projects in the more remote parts of Lesotho. They will then return to South Africa to visit the Zulu War battlefields of Isandlwhana & Rorkes Drift.
Michael Kingscote, Managing Director of Outposts Ltd, designed the expedition which will be led by former Royal Marine Colonel Nick Arding and his wife Philippa.
