"South West Schools Expedition to South Africa 2010
Just wanted to thank all concerned with the South Africa trip that has just returned. Will had the most fantastic experience, loved every minute of it and made lots of new friendships which I'm sure will endure.

From a parental point of view the organisation was superb, I never for one moment doubted anyone's competence or ability or felt concerned whilst Will was away. To anyone considering undertaking a similar trip with your Company - was it expensive? Yes, but they all are. Was the fundraising hard work? Yes, but with it comes a sense of achievement both in organising successful events and when you finally get there. Would we recommend your organisation to anyone else? Absolutely!

Many thanks to you all and I look forward to going through the whole thing again in two years time when our daughter reaches yr 11 !!"

"Lesotho Venturer 26th July to 18th August 2010
Dear Outposts,
I just had to email you to say a huge thank you for the website updates that you have been providing on the Cadets trials and triumphs on their Lesotho Venture.
I am William Symons' Mum and have laughed and cried with every update. The tears were streaming down my face when I read the email that had been sent from Mamello and my heart was in my mouth just looking at the photos of the waterfall abseiling challenge!
You have provided a life changing experience for these guys and girls and the website kept us parents fully updated with all their adventures.
Thank you for all the time and effort you have given and I hope that many more people will get to benefit from the wonderful experiences that you provide.
Fondest regards"

"Exercise Lesotho Venturer 2010 - Vice Chairman, Army Cadet Force Association
Thank you for organising such a fabulous expediiton for our Cadets.

This was by far the most ambitious venture ever organised for the Cadet Forces.
That it worked so well was due in no small part to the meticulous pre-planning and organisation of Outposts and, in particular, to the skilled and gentle touch of Fee in her ongoing liaison with the Cadets and others.

I felt very privileged to be able to join the Cadets on their last night in South Africa. The atmosphere was electric and I know the young people who took part in the expedition have finished the better for it and have taken away memeories and experiences that will both fortify them for their lives ahead and enhance their dealings with others as they move into adulthood.

Please pass my thanks to everyone involved in making this venture such a huge success."

"Exercise Lesotho Venturer - 2010
I have just come back with Dame Mary Richardson from a visit to Lesotho. During it Dame Mary had time to visit one of the groups of cadets. She was so enthused by what she had seen and most importantly felt that they were getting a huge amount of benefit from the experience. The cadets were both bubbling with praise on the whole project and importantly felt they were on a huge learning curve from the experience.

I know they are not back as yet and Michael at Outposts Ltd is putting things on their Website but I felt you should be aware of a very positive comment."

"Blundell's School Year 8 at The Bush Camp June 2010
Thank you for the amazing experience I had during the Outpost Camp last Wednesday.

I found it really exciting and I learned a lot about surviving in the wild and the activities. I especially enjoyed:

.... the one where you had to carry a bucket of water through an obstacle course;
.... the survivial night because Spanner taught us some interesting and helpful facts which would save your life in the wild;
.... the raft building, high ropes, crossing the pond and ball collecting because it was physical and tricky;
.... building a vehicle and pulling it up a hill, lighting a fire with a phone battery, the team games bonding us together, making my own shelter and the Wall of Death.

In conclusion I would like to say a big thank you. I loved every minture of the adventure. I hope to somehow, sometime go again."

"Tudor Hall climbing Snowdon for Help the Aged 8th May 2010
I am writing to say a big thank you to the Outpost instructors on Saturday and to you for helping organise the trip from your end. The day was a great success, as you have probably heard. All the girls were very proud of their achievement and it was great to have so much interest in our cow costumes from the general public. I hope to be able to send you some photos later.

I would like you to pass on a special thank you to Paddy who was the leader of the group I was attached to. He was excellent with the girls. He was patient, informative, helpful and generous. The other staff and girls were also very pleased with the quality of the other leaders."

"Clifton High School: Team building weekend in the Forest of Dean September 2009
A huge thank you to all concerned for another very successful trip. Devin and his team did a splendid job. Im sure a formal evaluation sheet will be on its way, but I didnt want to wait until then. Splendid weather, the kids all seem to have enjoyed themselves and so did the staff. Our only major problem was the sleep deprivation and that wasnt within your control."

The administration was dealt with promptly and it is always a delight to speak to whoever is in the office, so helpful and can always find time to adjust or discuss changes etc, Thank you Katie!!
Climbing and caving added another dimension to the programme and we will repeat the experience again.
James was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble always on hand to field any situation."

Just wanted to say a quick personal thank you to all of you involved in making the Nepal expedition such an enjoyable and rewarding experience for George and all the others I'm sure. Very many thanks to you & all the team at Outposts - we had a very sucessful week last week and lots of the girls and teachers have told me how much they enjoyed it.
As ever, your team of instructors (Dave, Ben et al) were excellent - committed, enthusiastic professionals in their field!

"Air Training Corps (Aberdeen and NE Scotland Wing) April 2009
Glendhu House was a great location and due to no mobile reception the cadets were more focused on their tasks and the course. I thought this course was excellent I have taken a lot from it myself. I would like to try and re-create this method of teamwork in my own squadron.
The aims were given to the cadets clearly and they were offered support with any questions they had.
The team building challenges and survival training were really well demonstrated.
All of the group really enjoyed the bivi exercise.
I liked how all briefings and de-briefs were well structured."

"Comment from an instructor ref Schools' activity weeks in Wales 2009
Congratulations on putting together such a well organised and efficient plan.
I feel that it was this planning, along with the constant back up and support of the full time Outpost's staff, that allowed us freelancers to get through the work with the tough clients and enjoy our work with the more positive clients, whilst offering quality activities to both. I hope that both schools are happy and that we will see them again next year."

" Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition to South Africa, 2008
Dear Michael and all at Outposts,
Bethany has finally stopped talking and is asleep! I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all at Outposts. All the planning and meticulous attention to detail has paid off, with all arriving home safely having had what Bethany describes as 'a life changing experience'! I know how 17 year old girls are prone to exaggerate, but I think this just may be true! The trip has opened her eyes and widened her horizons; she is already talking about her next adventure."

" Duke of Westminster Award Expedition to SA for top 9 cadets in UK, 2008
As you probably know I recently went on an expedition to SA earlier this year and it was the most moving, thoroughly enjoyable trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much for the opportunity and I plan to go back next year along with sponsoring a child with Zulu sponsor and I have also sent clothes out. Thank you again for your time and the fantastic organisation of the trip."

"Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in S. Africa 2008
Now that Rachel is home and has had a chance to relay numerous stories of her visit to South Africa, and show us 100's of photos(!), I wanted to thank you all so much for giving her this wonderful opportunity. I realise that many people have put in a lot of time and effort to make this happen for our youngsters, (not forgetting Johan and other guides and helpers in South Africa). A huge thank you to everybody!
In Rachels words 'it was amazing!'."

"Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition to South Africa, 2008
We would like to thank you, Michael and all concerned both in the UK and RSA for the wonderful experience Georgie and the others have shared pursuing their Gold DofE. The preparations made over the last fourteen months including training sessions, have been well organised and at all times most professional. The girls have received valuable support and advice throughout the process and the Outpost communication whilst they were in South Africa was much appreciated containing sufficient, but not too much detail, for those left behind!

When we collected Georgie from Heathrow her stories were so captivating that we continued on the M4 for many miles before we all realised we were traveling in the wrong direction!!!

Dai, of course, deserves special thanks for his outstanding leadership and we are grateful to all involved who have provided these young people with the opportunity to challenge themselves, meet such interesting and inspiring people and achieve their goals."
