Students travelling on Outposts’ three week Open Expeditions have the opportunity to achieve their ASDAN Certificate of Personal Effectiveness Level 3 (CoPE L3) and earn 16 UCAS points.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your Open Expedition experience not only to boost your CV simply by going, but also to earn 16 valuable UCAS points in the process. It comes at no extra cost, just a little time and effort on your part. Outposts provide support and guidance throughout.
The ASDAN Level 3 Certificate of Personal Effectiveness is a substantial and wide-ranging qualification the purpose of which is to enable candidates to develop and demonstrate a range of personal, key and employability skills, to broaden their experience and manage their learning in a variety of real life contexts, such as an Open Expedition. It is therefore “Applied General” in nature, and aims to teach candidates to understand, take responsibility for and learn from rich activities, rather than simply to experience them.
Candidates are required to provide, through rich activities, evidence of understanding and skills development against a set of standards. This quantifies and formalises their preparedness to progress into Higher Education, or employment, or vocational training and apprenticeships. Outposts meet and mentor students to guide them through the process.
